The fastest way to get started with Xilos. Xilos hosts and manages the entire platform — you connect your agents and configure routing, restrictions, and governance through the dashboard. No infrastructure to provision, no servers to maintain.
What's Included
With Managed SaaS, Xilos handles:
- Hosting and infrastructure — The full Xilos platform runs in Xilos-managed cloud accounts.
- Updates and upgrades — New features and security patches are deployed automatically with zero downtime.
- Database management — Backups, replication, and point-in-time recovery are included.
- Model integrations — Connections to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other LLM providers are maintained by Xilos.
- Internal SLM — The Smart Routing model is hosted and managed by Xilos.
- Monitoring and alerting — Platform health is monitored 24/7 with automated incident response.
- Dashboard access — Full access to the web UI for configuration, monitoring, and analytics.
Security and Compliance
- Encryption in transit — All API traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.
- Encryption at rest — All stored data is encrypted with AES-256.
- Authentication — Bearer token authentication with optional virtual keys for per-team access control.
- Audit logging — Every query, routing decision, and configuration change is logged.
- SIEM export — Forward governance events to your SIEM via CEF, Syslog, or JSON.
- Data residency — Choose US or EU regions for data storage. See Data Residency.

Info: The 99.9% uptime SLA excludes scheduled maintenance, which is announced at least 72 hours in advance and performed during off-peak hours.

Contact Xilos to provision your organization. You'll receive your API key and dashboard URL.
Connect Your Agents
Point your existing OpenAI-compatible agents at the Xilos API base URL. See Quickstart for integration examples.
Configure Routing Rules
Create routing rules to direct queries to the appropriate models based on intent.
Set Up Restrictions
Add restriction rules to block, mask, or flag sensitive queries.
Monitor and Optimize
Use the dashboard to monitor usage, review suggestions, and optimize cost and performance.

Limitations
- Data resides in Xilos-managed cloud infrastructure (US or EU regions).
- Custom model hosting requires Private Cloud or On-Premise deployment.
- Air-gapped environments are not supported — use On-Premise instead.
- For full data sovereignty requirements, consider Private Cloud or On-Premise.
When your needs evolve, you can migrate to Private Cloud or On-Premise as part of the three-phase journey.
